Revealing God's Character Through a Growing Relationship with Jesus

From the Pastor's Desk (Nov 27)

Hello Church Family:)

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!!!  I am so thankful for my church family. Thank you for all that you are and do for God’s Kingdom.

Here are a few items for you to mark in your calendar:

1. Baptism!  Come support Katey and Logan Stevens on Saturday, December 7th!  They are publicly giving their lives to Christ through baptism and will be joining our church family.  Let’s be there to shower love and excitement on them for this most important decision!

2. Richie’s Coming!  Yep, my little brother Richie Halversen is coming to bless us on December 14th.  He will be preaching for our church service and then he will do another presentation right after the fellowship meal, and you won’t want to miss his messages.  This is a rally for the fall series he will be doing at our church, “The Darkness Will Not Overcome.”  Also it is a precursor to the online series he and I will be doing in the Spring called, “Unchained.”  Tell your neighbors, friends, family members - this is a presentation and series that you will feel comfortable inviting anyone too, especially those who have struggled with addiction, or have had a friend or family member struggle with addiction, which pretty much covers all of us.  Plan now to attend.

3.  Christmas Programs!  It is that time of year again.  We have two important Christmas programs happening soon.  Sky Valley Adventist School students will be performing their Christmas program on Tuesday, December 17th.  Plan now on coming to support our amazing kiddos.  Also please start inviting your people now to our church Christmas Program on the 21st of December.  This program will be an event for our families - all ages will enjoy our interactive program while we learn about The Miracle of Jesus!  Do you have neighbors with kids?  Family members who don’t regularly come to church, or friends with kids?  Invite them.  The kids will love it and it will be an opportunity for them to hear about Jesus and His love for them - which is what Christmas is all about.  The event will start at 10:05 a.m. with a tour to the marketplace and then we will all experience together a small drama and singing carols, ending with a meal together.  Looking forward to experiencing it with each one of you.

Blessings and Happy Thanksgiving!
